SP junior varsity can’t stop Fillmore Flashes

The Cardinal JV football 11 suffered a 40-6 loss at Fillmore Friday. The younger Cards couldn’t get the ball into the Flashes’ end zone until the fourth quarter when Manuel Guerrero took the ball in from the inches out after Rafa Aguilera moved the ball almost across the line.Fillmore scored their first touchdown early in the first quarter from three yards out. After a good kick the Flashes led 7-0. Fillmore scored three TDs in the second quarter, one with just four seconds left on the clock. Two more TDs in the third quarter ended the scoring flurry for Fillmore.The JV team meets up with Oaks Christian Friday in a 4:30 p.m. home game.
