SP Storm cruises to 17-5 win

The Santa Paula Storm baseball club improved to 7-2-1 with a big win this past Sunday in the Ventura Fall Baseball League. With only two games to play, it looks like first place will come down to the final game of the season on November 20th.The Storm scored early and often against the Ventura Red Sox. The Red Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Storm came back with 5 in the first and 5 more runs in the second to really put the game out of reach. The Storm stretched the lead each inning after this en route to the 17-5 win. Isaac Rodriguez hit a bases loaded triple in the first to get the Storm started. Alex Barrera had a bases loaded single in the second to lead the rally.The Storm were led by Rodriguez who went 3-3 with two triples and a double,John Shaneyfelt went 2-3, Richard De La Trinidad, Christian Garibay, Isaac Carrillo, Anthony Jimenez and Barrera also contributed hits. The Storm received fine pitching from Josh Ming, Garibay, Jimenez and Carrillo.
Next up for the storm is a 10 am game on Sunday the 13th Vs the Ventura Angels.
