JV girls easily shut down Channel Islands

The JV softball team had no problem in beating the visiting Channel Islands softball team Friday. Santa Paula took the game 10-0. The game started off with 6 Santa Paula runs in the 1st inning. In the 1st the Lady Cards had 6 walks along with singles by Angelica Vasquez and Kathleen Salas. In the 2nd inning, with no one on base, Kassandra Espinoza slammed out a homerun to give the Cards a 7-0 lead. In the 4th Rebecca Arreguin and Kayla Oviendo each hit singles and Tylynn Sliger had a homerun.The JV plays Fillmore today at home.
