Terri was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ona O’Quinn and Donald Rivers, and her grandmother Berta Mae O’Quinn.Terri is survived by her husband, Rick Cloyd of Santa Paula; son, William Johnson of Santa Paula; daughter, Heather Johnson of Maui, HI; granddaughter, Aspen-Elizabeth Sidote of Ojai; father, West Rivers of Prescott, AZ; mother, Joyce Rivers of Golden, MO; brothers, Dennis Rivers of Prescott, AZ and Donald Jeff Rivers of Ojai; sister, Sherra Contreras of Golden, MO; grandmother, Lola Mae Rivers of Ventura; nephews, Dylan Benefield of Golden, MO, Daniel and Andy Rivers of Yuba City, CA, and Tracy L. Rivers, in the Air Force overseas; niece, Shawna Fitzgerald of Golden, MO; nine grandnieces and grandnephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.A memorial service to celebrate Terri’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at Skillin-Carroll Memorial Chapel, 738 E. Terri Lynn Cloyd
Terri Lynn Cloyd, 49, of Santa Paula, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007, surrounded by her family at home after a courageous nine-year battle with breast cancer. Terri was born on December 14, 1957 in Oxnard, and was a life long Ventura County resident.Terri was a homemaker who treasured spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, and throwing horseshoes, and had a fondness for all animals, nature and the mountains.She was a talented guitarist and keyboardist, and possessed a passion for singing, songwriting and poetry. She could sing and play guitar for hours with her family and friends.She was a woman who had a big heart and relished her family and numerous friends. Where she shined brightest was relishing the simple pleasures of life. Terri always had time to help out others, while never asking for anything in return. She only wanted the best for her family and friends.All who knew Terri will deeply miss the times spent hearing her sing and play guitar.
