Laura Maxine Fitch Laura was born in Springfield, Missouri on January 17, 1921. She passed away April 23, 2007.She came to California as a child, and lived in the Los Angeles area until her retirement about 25 years ago. She moved to Santa Paula to be close to her elder sister and her niece.She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Neva Hastings of Santa Paula; niece Laura and her husband Victor De Sutter of Prescott, Arizona; niece Darlene and husband Dan Doubt of Spring Valley, CA; niece Mary and husband Steve Martin of Kona, Hawaii; nephew Jim and Eileen Fitch of Dana Point, CA; and nephews Gene Fitch of Arizona, Mo Fitch, and Joe Fitch.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary. Burial will be in Santa Paula Cemetery.There will be a celebration of her life at a later date at the Santa Paula Senior Center, where she went to lunch, and enjoyed playing Bingo there with her many friends. There will also be a memorial in the Anacapa Mobile Home Park where she lived for a number of years.The family of Ms. Fitch would also like to thank Santa Paula Hospital and the doctors and nurses who gave her such good care both times she was there, and the Livingston Memorial visiting nurses and hospice.Carolyn N. SteelsmithCarolyn N. Steelsmith, 62, of Santa Paula, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2007 in Ventura County Medical Center after a three-year illness.Carolyn was born on January 20, 1945 in Tennessee to Charlie Green and Sally Carolyn Vaughn. Carolyn enjoyed playing bingo, bunco, camping and going shopping.
