Artists’ reception for Nature Observed exhibit in Thousand Oaks

The public is invited to a free May 31 Artists’ Reception at the Museum of Ventura County’s satellite location in The Oaks Shopping Center in Thousand Oaks. The Thursday night reception from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. gives attendees an opportunity to meet many of the Ventura County artists whose work is featured in Nature Observed: Painting, Sculpture & Photography. The new exhibit opens Memorial Day Weekend (May 26) and runs through September 3, with free admission.
Nature Observed: Painting, Sculpture & Photography features 100 years of differing visions of the natural environment, ranging from those of 19th century artist Henry Chapman Ford and early 20th century California Impressionist Paul Lauritz, to contemporary painters, photographers and sculptors. A complete list of exhibition artists and where they reside is attached below.The Museum of Ventura County satellite location at The Oaks is open free Monday through Saturday, 12:00 - 8:00 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. The satellite is located on the upper level, northeast end, across from Anthropologie.
