The public is invited to learn more about the latest advances in cataract surgery and cosmetic eyelid surgery at a free seminar Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, July 31.

The public is invited to learn more about the latest advances in cataract surgery and cosmetic eyelid surgery at a free seminar Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, July 31.John Davidson, M.D., and Daniel Ebroon, M.D., will be guest speakers at the seminar that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital at 147 Brent St. in Ventura.Dr. Davidson will provide information on the Alcon ReSTOR IOL multifocal intraocular lens, designed to give patients a full range of vision, and greatly reduce their reliance on glasses. He also will discuss Endoscopic Cyclophoto-Coagulation - ECP - a process that uses laser energy to control glaucoma.
Dr. Ebroon will explain the risks, techniques and factors that make a patient a good candidate for cosmetic eyelid surgery.Dr. Davidson and Dr. Ebroon practice medicine at Ventura’s Miramar Eye Specialists Medical Group, and both also are clinical instructors at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA/Ventura County Medical Center.Admission is free, but space is limited, so reservations are suggested.
