The Ventura County Fire Department has announced that Christina Jamison has been named as the county’s new Fire Marshal, effective September 9, 2007.

The Ventura County Fire Department has announced that Christina Jamison has been named as the county’s new Fire Marshal, effective September 9, 2007. Jamison will replace Diane Morgan who is retiring.Jamison has been a Fire Prevention Officer for the department for more than 12 years. She has an associate science degree from Santa Ana College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Studies from California State University Long Beach. She is an active member of the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers, and she has recently been appointed to the State Building Standards Commission by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Fire Marshal Diane Morgan is retiring from the department after 21 years of service.The Ventura County Fire Dept. was founded in 1928, and today, more than 500 people under the direction of Fire Chief Bob Roper provide fire protection and emergency medical services to nearly a half-million citizens in the unincorporated areas of Ventura County and six cities within the county.
