Life Way Baptist Church will celebrate the official opening of the new 12,000 square foot, 1.3 million dollar multi-purpose building on Sunday, November 18 with a Service of Thanksgiving, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a Thanksgiving dinner for all who attend.Pastor Bob Walpole will tell the many who will gather that “God has richly blessed us each step of the way. We emphatically proclaim, ‘It’s not about the building! It’s about service to our families and the people of our community. We have faith that He will use this new facility for His glory.’”Teamwork: “Work done by a number of parties each doing a part but all subordinating personal prominence to the efficiency of the whole.” That textbook definition perfectly describes this endeavor. With hearts filled with thanksgiving we acknowledge all who have worked on this building project. The Ministry Center will nurture those who desire a relationship with the Lord Jesus through Bible study classes. The Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m., and other Bible studies take place at various times throughout the week. The theme for our Bible study ministry is to “Enter to learn, go forth to serve.”
The large fellowship hall will be used for the many church functions such as banquets, socials, fellowships, funeral and wedding receptions, and as a conference center capable of accommodating up to 350 people. The building also has a beautiful chapel and office suite.Throughout history, God’s people have dedicated their churches, their homes, their possessions and their lives to God in recognition of His Lordship. Life Way Baptist Church desires to dedicate this gift, this new building, this ministry center in the same manner. This building stands as a visible sign of God’s provision. It is a gift, from His hand, through His people, and we humbly ask for God to bless the work of so many hands, and all the work that will be done for decades to come through this beautiful new facility. Construction on the project began on February 20, 2007.
