Rehearsals begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 at Brekke Elementary School, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Oxnard. Toay Productions is presenting the Miss Southern California USAŽ and Miss Southern California Teen USAŽ 2008 pageant and is seeking young women to be contestants. The pageant offers a $500 cash award, or compete at Miss California USAŽ or Miss California Teen USAŽ.
Miss contestants must be at least 18 and under 27 years of age as of February 1, 2009. Miss Teen contestants must be at least 15 and under 19 years of age as of September 1, 2009.Contestants must not be married, and must never have been married or had a marriage annulled. They must never have given birth to a child, and cannot be pregnant or a parent. Contestants must be of good health and moral character, and must be a naturally born female and a citizen of the United States.Entrance fee to the contest is $200, which is nonrefundable unless the pageant is canceled. Contestants must also sell a required 10 tickets to the pageant to avoid disqualification.
