“Wine, Wings & Winnings”at the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula

The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public of all ages in aviation and its history, has put a new twist on their annual Wine and Wings fundraising event.

The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public of all ages in aviation and its history, has put a new twist on their annual Wine and Wings fundraising event. They’ve added “Winnings”-a casino night with a chance to win some great prizes, and a trip to Las Vegas as the grand prize. Proceeds from this great evening of entertainment will go directly to the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula to complete the procurement of their first true Museum hangar and purchase the required modifications to the building to meet county and city codes.The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula’s Wine, Wings and Winnings will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM at the Museum hangars at Santa Paula Airport (Palm exit of the 126 Freeway, follow the signs). Ample parking is available in designated areas on the airport. Tickets are $40 per person, pre-paid.Kris Dawson, Board member of the AMSP and Wine, Wings & Winnings Event Chair said, “As a non-profit agency, the Museum depends on the support of the community and we strive to make this fundraiser a fun-filled night that people will truly enjoy attending!”Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the entrance and presented a packet that includes multiple drink tickets, $500 of gambling money (good only at Santa Paula Airport), a commemorative wine glass and Event and Auction Guide.
Participants can expect a delightful evening of beer and wine-tasting from local vintners and breweries including Stafford Premium, Cantera Cellars, and Old Creek Ranch Wineries as well as several Ventura County breweries. Savory appetizers and desserts will be available in the food hangar and an exceptional Silent Auction will offer items to pique the interest of everyone. Black jack, poker, craps and roulette tables will be will be available till 30 minutes before closing when gaming chips are turned in for prize-winning raffle tickets and the Auction closes. The gaming will be professionally managed by Casino Knights of Camarillo. “We’re trying to be innovative with our fund-raisers to appeal to everyone,” remarked Judy Phelps, President of the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula. “Knowing that future generations who come to the Museum are the ones who will ultimately benefit from fund-raising events such as Wine, Wings and Winnings is our ultimate reward.”For advance tickets and information go the Museum Website at www.amszp.org or call Marikay Lindstrom at 805-525-1321.
