The varsity has an overall record of 0-2 and the JV stands at 1-1. The varsity girls play in the Nordhoff Varsity Tournament through Saturday. The JV and varsity play next Tuesday at Fillmore.

Lady Cards struggling this season but JV slam-dunks Hueneme

Playing against the visiting Hueneme Vikings, the girls’ JV won their contest 55-22. Lizzette Ramirez had a team-high 25 points, followed by Lea Lippert with 14 and Ciara Ramirez with 10.
The Lady Card varsity had a close game, losing to Hueneme 53-43. Danya Zizumbo had 11 points and three steals. Yesenia Mancilla recorded 10 points and three rebounds and Lupita Ramirez had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Vanessa Lowe said, “They played hard and the hard work is really starting to show.”
