Cash rewards offered for two Santa Paulans wanted by Crime Stoppers

The latest list of what could be considered Ventura County’s Most Wanted - and the offer to gain reward money for helping police locate them - includes two Santa Paulans.

By Peggy KellySanta Paula TimesThe latest list of what could be considered Ventura County’s Most Wanted - and the offer to gain reward money for helping police locate them - includes two Santa Paulans.Ventura County Crime Stoppers, also known as We Tip, is offering rewards - up to $1,000 each - for information leading to the arrests of Ralph Puga and Jose Manuel Martinez.Puga, 19, was convicted of attempted robbery and burglary is being sought for allegedly violating the terms of his probation.Puga, a Latino, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs 125 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a distinctive tattoo on his back spelling out his last name - “Puga” - in large, ornate lettering. Puga often sports a thin mustache and wears his hair very closely cropped.Puga’s last known address was in the 300 block of North 13th Street; his last known job was at Tri-County Auto Dismantling.
Martinez, 23, allegedly violated his probation on a robbery conviction.A Latino, Martinez is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Martinez also has a distinctive tattoo, a tribal band on his right arm. Martinez is known to have a close-cropped mustache and chin whiskers, but sometimes lets the two areas grow together in an iron jaw style.His last reported address was in the 17900 block of Texas Lane, just outside Santa Paula city limits.Arrest warrants have been issued for Puga and Martinez.Anyone with information on either man can call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK (8255) or 494-TALK (8244). There are cash rewards for any information that leads to an arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still receive a cash reward; the program can provide a confidential code identification number under which the reward can be claimed.
