This was part of the ongoing Southern California Invitational Tournament, going on through tomorrow. The Cards earlier defeated North Hollywood, 6-4.
In the North Hollywood game, Aaron Gomez was 4 for 4 and had two doubles. Justin Macias and Brian Hinojosa each recorded two RBIs.
Steven Kohr started on the mound in the Channel Islands game. Ryan Montelongo, a freshman, came in the sixth inning.
Top Santa Paula hitters were: Aaron Gomez, 1-4 with 2 doubles; Justin Macias, 1-3 with 2 doubles; Brian Hinojosa, 1-1 with 1 RBI.
