National Senior Center Month

September is National Senior Center month, and a variety of activities are scheduled at the Santa Paula Senior Center.

Start with free a bead craft project on Friday, September 10 at 10am.

The Alzheimer’s Association will present a workshop on “Memory and Aging” September 15 at 12:30. Discover how memory works, the changes in memory as we age and get tips on how to maintain and improve your memory.

Lighten up with B. Samantha Frady’s “Remembering Laughter” program on Friday, September 17 at 12:30.

Join us on Wednesday the 22nd for this month’s special luncheon, “Salute to Seniors”, starting at 11:30. Lasagna is on the menu, along with a demonstration by the Ballroom Dancing class.

Other programs and activities will also be highlighted. Finish up the month with SCAN Health Plan’s Senior Tips talk “Tests You Want to Take” on September 28 at 12:30. This informative program describes the importance of preventative care, screenings and vaccines in maintaining health.
