The Cardinal JV football team played hard but lost to the visiting Thousand Oaks Lancers, 40-7.

T.O. came on strong from the start, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter and another in the second.  Cardinal freshman Daniel Kohr took a kickoff 90 yards for Santa Paula’s only TD in the third quarter.  The Lancers got their fourth TD in the third.  T.O. scored two more times in the fourth quarter.

Santa Paula quarterback Christian Garcia relied on running back Eddie Cardenas to move the ball.  The T.O. defense managed to stop most the Santa Paula attempts to move the ball.

The JV plays at Pacifica High School in Oxnard Friday at 4:00 p.m.
