Cardinal boys’ soccer teams get their first test

The Santa Paula boys’ varsity and JV soccer teams met up with Golden Valley in their first games of the year. The varsity played hard in a fast pace game and came away with a 2-0 win.
The Cardinal goals came from Eric Salgado and Xavier Rodriguez. Coach Brian Blevins said, “We saw exceptional offensive play from Ernesto Valdovinos.
The Cards play at Hueneme Monday at 3:15 p.m.
