Jalena Martinez, 11-0, was the winning pitcher. She struck out five batters. The Cardinals had 11 runs off nine hits. This gave the Lady Cards the Consolation round championship. Martinez and Pati Arana were both named to the All-Tournament team.The weekend victories gives Santa Paula an overall record of 18-3.

The Lady Cardinal varsity softball team celebrated Cinco de Mayo with back-to-back wins at the second half of the Paraclete Tournament this past weekend.
In the first game Santa Paula overcame L.A. Baptist 8-2. Lauren Bustillos was the winning pitcher, striking out five batters. Her record is now 7-2.Bustillos, Claudia Berumen, Sarah Ruiz and Jessieka Mata each had two hits.The Cards had eight runs off 10 hits.In the second game the Lady Cardinals overcame Victor Valley Christian 11-7.
