Coach Mark Blankenship said, “The Lady Cards played well today leading the whole way through the game.” After one quarter the girls led 12-8, at the half they were up 21-18. In the second half the Cards started to pull away, outscoring Fillmore 14-7 in the 3rd to take a 35-25 lead. In the 4th, Cards outscored the Flashes 9-5 to take home the 14-point victory and avenge the loss to Fillmore earlier in the month.
“The Card D was great at times, holding FHS scoreless for lengths of time,” he said. “Turnovers hurt the Cards, but the found the way and will to win. Lizzette Ramirez played well, attacking the basket, as did Danya Zizumbo and Kayla Stockton as well as Elissa Rico, being active on D.”
The Lady Cards finished with 11 steals, 3 blocks, and 11 assists for the game

Coach Blankenship said, “The Cards played a really good 1st half, down 9 at the half, got outscored 20-8 in the 3rd, and 17-11 in the 4th to loose the game. The Lady Cards never gave up, battled till the final buzzer. The Cards shot the ball well from the 2-point range, connecting on 54% of their shots. Turnovers were the downfall. The Cards had 25 for the game.”
