Lady Cards open league play with a 14-0 shutout

The Lady Cardinal softball team traveled to Bishop Diego High School Monday for their first Frontier League game and came away with a 14-0 shutout over the other red birds.

Marissa Ramos had a single with 2 runs scored and a RBI.  Samantha Rodriquez recorded a single with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.  Alyia Alamillo hit a single, a double, and a triple and scored 1 run and added 2 RBIs.  Felicia Magana had a single and 3 runs.  Andrea Rodriquez had a single, a double, 1 run scored and 3 RBIs.  Andrea Payne, hit a double, a triple, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.  Miranda Magana hit a double, a single,  scored 2 runs and brought in 3 runs. She also pitched the shut out, facing 26 batters, allowing only 3 hits and struck out 8.
