The historic Steckel Park Aviary in Ventura County, north of Santa Paula, has been delighting generations of park visitors for over 50 years.
It is now in a state of disrepair and is threatened with demolition. The Friends of Steckel Park Aviary are a group of concerned community members who are working with the County of Ventura to restore the Aviary. We can’t let this community icon be lost.
A BBQ chicken dinner fundraiser will be held on June 7. Dinner tickets are $8 each. The SP Fire Fighters Association will be preparing the delicious dinners. Diners must pre-purchase dinner tickets. These can be purchased at the Santa Paula Times office on Main Street and the Best of VC Marketplace on 10th Street or by calling 340-3345.
