Ventura PD outwaits, arrests SP man wanted on felony warrant

Ventura Police outwaited a Santa Paula man who initially refused to leave an apartment building, and arrested him for a felony warrant Sunday.

Ventura Police received information November 11 that Robert Garcia, 26, was last seen near an apartment about 1:35 p.m. in the 6600 block of Telephone Road, according to a VPD spokesman. Once VPD officers arrived at the scene they went into the apartment where Garcia was said to be, but he refused to exit the building. Finally, three hours after officers had first arrived, Garcia came out and was arrested.

According to the VPD, the felony was a no bail warrant in reference to a post release offender violation. Garcia was transported to Ventura County Jail and booked for the felony warrant.
