SPHS girls’ wrestling team takes 2nd place at CIF

The Santa Paula High School girls’ wrestling team has captured second place at the CIF-SS Finals, held at Rancho Verde High School. The Lady Cards trailed Northview High with 187 points to Northview’s 217.
Jessie Prado at 140 pounds and Jennifer Juarez at 191 both place second in their division. At 114 pounds Maria Ramirez took fourth place.
Samantha Vasquez (98 lbs), Staphany Arriola (132 lbs) and Ana Tellez (146 lbs) finished at fifth place. Selena Delacruz (156 lbs) placed eighth.
