Cardinal boys finish season with Second Round CIF loss

The Santa Paula Cardinals, champions of the Frontier League saw their season come to an end in the second round of Division 3A CIF playoffs this past Friday night. 

Chaminade High School of West Hills, ranked 35th in the latest California State rankings routed the Cards by a score of 73 to 30. Chaminade had a front line of players ranged from 6’ 7” to 6’ 10” and they completely dominated the boards for the Eagles as well an outstanding display of outside shooting from long range.

The Cardinals completed their season with a record of 14 - 11.  Highlights for Santa Paula Friday were Gabriel Diaz, 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal; Nicholas Aguilera, 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal; Tim Garcia, 5 points, 2 rebounds; Joshua Garay, 2 rebounds, 1 steal; Brandon Casas, 3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal; and Eddie Perez, 2 points, 1 rebound.
