Martha Marin was named as Classified Employee of the Month at last weeks’ meeting of the Santa Paula Unified School District Board.

Isbell Middle School Principle George Alessi told the board that there were so many things he could say about her. “She works tirelessly as an Instructional Assistant in Special Education,” he said. “Over the course of her career she has developed instructional skills and also behavior management skills and a tremendous level of patience.” He added that, “What make Martha so special is that she treats those children as if they were her own. A very, very deep caring...a willingness and a passion for guidance...is what makes Martha, like all of our family members, so special. Kids that Martha comes in contact with are most fortunate to have a contact that will most likely affect them for the rest of their lives.”

Marin said she felt very fortunate to get up every morning and come to a job that she truly enjoys. “We have a great team at Isbell Middle School and I’m fortunate to be a part of the team,” she added.  She thanked the PE Department for being her counseling team. She also thanked her family for their support during her 18 years with the district.
