Boy’s varsity beats Nordhoff in League opener

The Cardinal boys basketball team outscored Nordhoff, 55-39 in their Frontier League opening game this week. Andy Rico led the Cards in scoring with 23 points. He also had nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. Rene Maciel added 15 points and had one rebound, five assists and two steals. Ryan Racicot recorded 10 points, plus seven rebounds, one assist and three steals. Angel Camarillo tossed in five points and had five rebounds and one steal.The Cards play their second League game today at Santa Clara, starting with the frosh game at 4:00 p.m.
