Santa Paula Memorial Hospital Board progresses toward affiliation

The Santa Paula Memorial Hospital Board met in an all-day meeting on April 13 to evaluate options and alternatives for affiliation. “We accomplished everything we hoped and will be having more specific discussions with a selected organization very soon,” stated Carol Burhoe, Board treasurer. Board member Rodney Fernandez added, “The process was very thorough and helped us reach an objective decision based on facts and figures, not emotions.” The Board was advised in the meeting that Community Memorial Hospital of San Buenaventura has withdrawn from consideration at this time.The Board appreciates and thanks our community, medical staff and the community ad hoc committee for all their input in the process.
