The Santa Paula Union High School District Board of Trustees agreed to waive the classroom fees normally charged to Ventura College for the use of rooms at Santa Paula High School. Because of budget cuts, the college district can no longer pay for the classrooms at the high school. In order to help Ventura College continue to serve the Santa Paula community, the SPUHSD Board of Trustees agreed to donate the high school rooms for the 2003-2004 instructional year. “Ventura College is very happy for Santa Paula’s gracious donation,” said Linda Rubenstein, off-campus coordinator for Ventura College. “This gesture is appreciated by the college, the community, and most of all by the students. The Santa Paula Union High School Board is certainly proving its commitment to the education of the Santa Paula community.” Ventura College currently has 12 classes and a total enrollment of 308 students in its evening program at Santa Paula High School.
