Beryl Mary Weaverling Beryl Mary Weaverling, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, left this world to be with her Lord on October 9, 2003 following a lengthy illness.Beryl was born January 15, 1936 in the small village of Thame in England. In 1960 she met her American Airman husband and love of her life, Larry, and after a whirlwind romance they married in the local parish and moved to the United States.Life was not easy as Larry was injured in the Air Force less than two years after their marriage. At the time Beryl was expecting their first daughter, and she nursed him back to health during the following years, while still adjusting to a new country and a new baby. There was never a doubt that despite his injuries life would prevail and they would be blessed all their lives through.More babies followed, but that was not enough, so Beryl and Larry became foster parents to over 30 children. Many were neglected and abused, some were orphans. One they loved so much they couldn’t give him up, so at the time most people think about retiring Mom and Dad adopted Paul.“In my Father’s house there are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you. And you yourself know the way where I am going.” John 14:2,4Mom has gone to prepare the many rooms needed for those she has left behind. She is survived by her beloved husband Larry; daughter Valerie Oliver and husband Fred; daughter Debbie Wilson; son Larry, Jr. and wife Dawn; son Sean; son Paul; grandchildren Chelsea, Kim, Matthew, Ben and Gemma; brother George and wife Diane; sister Margaret; many nieces and nephews; and all those foster children waiting for her to hold them again. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ada and George, and brother Dennis.
We will miss you, Mom, but you will always be in our hearts.Services were held October 13 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Santa Paula. In lieu of flowers, the family, at Beryl’s request, asks that donations be made to Casa Pacifica Children’s Home.Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, 128 S. 8th St., Santa Paula, 525-5595.
