Cardinal boys' soccer teams each beat Hueneme

The Santa Paula varsity and JV boys’ soccer teams both beat the visiting Hueneme teams this week. The JV won 3-2 and the varsity took their match 3-0. For the varsity Alex Puga scored the first goal for the Cards off an assist from Jose Luna. Luna scored the second goal and had two assists. Felipe Zamudio scored the final goal for Santa Paula. Earlier, in the Carpinteria Varsity Tournament, Santa Paula and Valley Christian played to a 2-2 tie but the Cardinals won 4-2 in penalty kicks. The Cards also defeated Cabrillo 2-1.
