Blanchard Community Library Endowment Fund presents check to the Library

Carl Barringer, president of the Library Endowment Fund, and Pat Alderson, Fund secretary, present a check for $11,700 to Brenda DeJamaer, president of the Library Board of Trustees. Also pictured is Mike Kaplan, member of the Library Endowment Committee. The money represents interest earned on the Endowment Fund’s capital assets. The Endowment Fund is a permanent non-profit corporation established 20 years ago by interested citizens to help supplement the Library’s revenue. A 2003 year-end donation request by the five-member board of Endowment directors to increase the Fund’s principal brought overwhelming response from citizens of Santa Paula and the surrounding areas who recognize the value of the Library.
