Margaret Newell Beyerl recently celebrated her 103rd birthday

Margaret Newell Beyerl recently celebrated her 103rd birthday with a candlelight dinner served to all the residents at Orange Blossom Villa in Fillmore. Celebrating with her were her niece and nephew. Born Margaret Newell on March 27, 1901 in Hixton, Wisconsin (near Alma Center), she married Henry Beyerl on August 20, 1926. They moved to Glendale, California in 1923, then moved to Mentone in 1933 and developed a chicken farm. In 1964 they moved to Colimesa to retire. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 1996. After Henry died in 1997, Margaret moved to the Orange Blossom Villa in 1998. Photo by Brian D. Wilson
