John S. Hartshorn, Jr.
John S. Hartshorn, Jr., 58, of Santa Paula, passed away in Ventura after a sudden illness. He had been a resident of Ventura County for 14 years.John was born April 14, 1946 in Glendale, CA. He was a graduate of Santa Paula High School.John enjoyed sports, concerts and music. He loved to travel. He also coached youth sports. John was a Vietnam veteran with the United States Army.John is survived by his wife, Judy Hartshorn of Santa Paula; daughter Stephanie Clarke of Fox Island, Washington; son Jeff Hartshorn of Federal Way, Washington; and stepdaughters, Kathleen Castaneda of Camarillo and Annie Perez, also of Camarillo. He is preceded in death by his son Mark Hartshorn.Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Stetler Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Stetler Chapel, with burial to follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
