Joseph Bernard Wall Joseph Bernard Wall, 88, died August 19, 2005 in the home of his loving friend and caretaker, Reta Price.He was born March 30, 1917 to Thomas and Susan Wall in Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest of seven children. All have preceded him in death.His first wife, Carol, preceded him in death in 1979, and his second wife, Adelyne Tullberg Wall preceded him in death in 1990. "Joe," as he was known, is survived by his niece, Susan Kelley and husband Ken and two sons, Kevin and Steve, of Gilbert, Arizona; five stepchildren, Natalia Moore and husband Chuck of Ojai, Beverly McGrath of Rocklin, CA, Gary Tullberg and wife Terri of Ojai, Alan Tullberg and wife Dottie of Paso Robles, CA, and randy Tullberg of Ojai; nine step-grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Reta Price of Santa Paula.Joe joined the U.S. Air Force in 1940, and retired from the service October 31, 1962. He then went on to work for Litton for 14 years, working in security.He loved to golf at Soule Park with his golf buddies from Santa Paula and Ojai. He also enjoyed classic music and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.Services are pending and will be private. Inurnment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA, near March Air Force Base.In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Livingston Memorial Hospice or American Cancer Society.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, 525-3391.Arnold Castro NavaArnold C. Nava, 42, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2005, while surrounded by his loving family. Arnold was employed by Associates Insectary as a mechanic for 17 years.
Arnold was born October 3, 1962 in Van Nuys, California to Manuel and Louise Nava. Arnold enjoyed camping, fishing, family barbecues, and playing loud music. He also enjoyed working on cars and working in the towing business.Arnold will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness, his laughter, and always being willing to lend a helping hand to all.He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Nava; his brother, Armando Nava; and his grandparents. He is survived by his father and mother, Manuel and Louise Nava of Arieta; a grandmother, San Juana Ramos Nava of Mexico; daughters, Angela (husband Antonio) Gutierrez and Natasha Nava of Santa Paula; son Jesse (wife Roselina) Nava of Arizona; his grandchildren, Alexander Ladosky of Santa Paula, and Lexis and Jesse "David" Nava of Arizona; his brothers, Steven Nava and Raymond (Terry) Renteria, and sister-in-law Lupe Nava, all of Santa Paula; sister Stephanie (Johnny) Estrada of Oceanside; goddaughter Noel Nava of Santa Paula; former wife, Tina Poole of Arizona; nephews and nieces, uncles and aunts, and cousins; girlfriend Nadine Besse; and many friends.We would like to thank the nursing staff at CMH for all of their help and support. A heartfelt thank you for all of the prayers and support during our difficult time.A rosary will be held Wednesday, August 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula. A mass will be held Thursday, August 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church, with burial to follow at the Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E.
