Fire in storage area quickly put out

A fire started in a storage area used by the Vons Center maintenance crews Monday afternoon about 2:30 p.m. A full structure response was called with Santa Paula and County Fire engines responding. It appears that a golf cart power system caused the fire. Overhead fire sprinklers kept the fire in check until fire personnel quickly knocked down the fire. King Kong scares Fay Wray on the Moonlight At The Ranch movie set last Saturday evening. Hollywood came to Limoneira Ranch including many movie stars (actors), including Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin and many others. The stars rubbed elbows with the audience and even had their picture taken by the paparazzi, all in good fun. 5th Annual Pismo Beach Run

If you took a trip down Santa Paula Street early Saturday morning you would have seen about 200 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles parked in front of the Gomez home. Gilbert Gomez Jr. and Gilbert Gomez Sr. coordinated the 5th annual fun ride to Pismo Beach. The ride also included people as far away as Baltimore.
