Daren is survived by his parents, William “Bill” and Janet Grant; his sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Vern Rogers and their seven children, from the eldest, Emily, Sabree, Ryan, Janie, Josh, Grace and Jackson, of Utah; uncles and aunts, Eddie and Becky Grant and Larry and Shelly Edwards of Santa Paula, and Richard Grant of Kingman, Arizona; and numerous cousins, all of whom he cared for deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira and Wilma Grant of Kingman, Arizona, and Enos and Iva Tripp of Santa Paula, and Aunt Ellen Grant of Kingman, Arizona.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 604 Ojai Rd., Santa Paula. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Daren Marshall Grant to the Santa Paula High School Athletics, 404 N. 6th St., Santa Paula, CA 93060.

Daren Marshall Grant
Daren Marshall Grant was born to Bill and Janet Grant on December 19, 1972 and died in Santa Paula on January 6, 2007. He was raised in Santa Paula.Daren was very active in Santa Paula High School, a proud Cardinal. From the start he involved himself in Student Council, Key Club, swim team, basketball team, football team, Letterman, and made the Junior Olympics in swimming. He graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1990.One year after graduation, Daren left for his Mormon Mission to Honduras. His next step was college at Ricks College, Idaho; he then transferred to Dixie College in Cedar City, Utah. He went on to coach basketball with Rick Majeras at the University of Utah.Daren later worked as a sports scout until he opened his existing business, Integrity Sports Management. His loves were sports and family.Daren went out of the way to help his family and friends; his heart was as big as his dreams. He was at the pinnacle of his career when he left this world. He had achieved his goals and was looking forward to a fulfilling life.
