All who take the stroll need to bring flashlights for safety, as the path can be a little uneven at times. Tours start at 6:30 and go until 9 p.m., with groups leaving the check-in area every 15 minutes.Admission to GhostWalk 2009 is $15 for adults and $8 for students with ID. No one under the age of 7 is permitted. Adults can get specially discounted tickets at $10 each for the opening weekend – October 9, 10, and 11 only. The Santa Paula Theater Center will present GhostWalk 2009, the annual extraterrestrial experience that will this year materialize in Scary Paula’s ghostoric Teague-McKevett Ranch on weekends from October 9 through 25. This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of Santa Paula Theater Center’s annual Halloween happening – Ventura County’s Original GhostWalk. Not a haunted house, but more akin to a theatrical storytelling happening, GhostWalk 2009 takes participants on a leisurely stroll through one of Santa Paula’s historic ranches. Scattered about a one-mile stretch of this landmark ranch waits a cast of gloomy, ghoulish characters anxious to impart their accounts of affliction to all that dare approach their haunts. From the bloody, tear-stained memories of their pasts will come stories that will evoke fear, compassion, laughter or anguish from those souls brave enough to traipse by their shadowy haunts.
