Fidencio Venegas
Fidencio Venegas, age 86, of Santa Paula, passed away peacefully in his sleep and in the comfort of his home Friday, January 6, 2012. Fidencio was born in Floresville, Texas on November 26, 1925. He was married to Florence Rocha Venegas of Santa Paula.
Fidencio came to California in the early 1940s and worked for Ortiz Trucking Company for over 25 years. Fidencio was known for having a green thumb. He enjoyed his yard work and also tended to the yards of his daughter’s and granddaughter’s homes.
Along with spending time with his grandkids, he loved to go out to the Little League field and watch his grandkids play baseball. He also loved to go out to eat and for walks over to Garden Market, spending some time there or going for a walk to the laundromat across from where he lived and talking to people he knew. In the end he loved the car he bought, which allowed him to travel anywhere he wanted to go. The stories he would tell the grandkids were all special. He would always tell his grandkids to go to school and to learn to become somebody in life and if they did that would make him proud.
Fidencio is preceded in death by his daughter Eva Venegas; sons Jesse, Richard “Richie”, Larry and Lupe Venegas; grandson Richard Macias; brothers Jose, Amancio and Filimone; sisters Luteria and Leonor; and his mother and father. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Our family is deeply grateful to all those who assisted with all the funeral arrangements and for your continued support.
