A Camarillo motorcyclist wound up with a broken leg Tuesday when he was struck in the intersection of Highway 126 and Hallock Drive by a van making a left turn in front of him.

Santa Paula Police Sgt. Jeremy Watson said the April 8 collision occurred at about 3:45 p.m.

Motorcycle rider Johnathon Hill, 26, was driving northbound through the intersection of Hallock Drive and Highway 126 when a “white, Ford Econo van traveling southbound,” on Hallock Drive attempted to turn left onto the freeway.

The van, driven by Guillermo Rincon, 42 of Oxnard, struck the motorcycle knocking Hill, who was wearing a helmet, from the bike.

Santa Paula Fire EMTS and ambulance paramedics treated Hill on the scene before he was transported to Santa Paula Memorial Hospital.

Watson said Hill, “sustained a broken left leg,” in the collision.

He added Rincon was not injured and there was “minor to moderate damage to both vehicles.”
