Warner McConnell Harvey

Warner McConnell Harvey (Jerry) was born April 2, 1938 in Oxnard  California and passed away in Crescent City California on December 24, 2014. 

Jerry attended grammar schools in the Los Angeles area during WWII while his parents worked in the defense industry. 

Returning to Santa Paula in 1949 to finish schooling, he graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1956. Deciding to join the Navy in 1957, he selected the submarine service. After qualifying and training he became a torpedo man aboard the USS Sea Owl. The Sea Owl was equipped for intelligence gathering and had, long secret missions that were not revealed until after the Cold War ended. Jerry was very proud of his service for his country and kept in contact with shipmates.

In recent years he lived in Crescent City, California where he liked to fish, hunt and enjoy the North Coast of California.

Jerry is survived by his brothers; Brooke, living in Cambria; Phil, residing in Santa Paula and step-grandson Zach Owen, Talent Oregon.
