With the federal Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday celebrated Monday the City Council will meet Tuesday to consider municipal business including leases of city property to nonprofits and an update of the now dissolved Redevelopment Agency.

The council will start the January 20 meeting at 5:30 p.m. with a closed session in the City Hall Administration Room to discuss labor negotiations and the ongoing arbitration with Santa Paula Water LLC, owner of the wastewater plant utilized by citizens.

At 6:30 p.m. the council will reconvene in open session in City Hall Council Chambers; the meeting will be broadcast live by Time Warner Cable Channel 10 and replayed according to schedule. The meeting will also be live-streamed on the city’s website and archived for viewing on demand.

There will be a presentation by V.A.C.E. (Ventura Adult & Continuing Education) regarding programs for youth adults 18 to 21 years old.

The council will hear an update on the dissolution of the Santa Paula Redevelopment Agency, the only such RDA agency in the county that was turned over by a council to a Successor Agency.

The council will also be asked to review leases of city property, specifically those buildings rented to the Chamber of Commerce and Santa Paula Society of the Arts that split space at the Depot and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clara Valley, whose clubhouse and administrative offices are located at Harding Park.

The council will have a look and discussion on the annual audit of financial reports, an 88-page document that addresses spending, revenues and programs through the 2014 Fiscal Year that ended June 30.

There will also be a discussion and possible action to direct City Manager Jaime Fontes to hire a facilitator for public goal setting workshops after reviewing several consultants.
