Edward J. De La Rosa of Los Angeles, the son of John and Dee De La Rosa of Santa Paula, was recently recognized by the Yale School of Management, receiving the Yale SOMAA Alumni Achievement Award. His achievements were enumerated in the program for the gala dinner:“For the past 13 years, Ed De La Rosa has served as the president of E. J. De La Rosa & Co., Inc. (ejdelarosa.com). With his three partners, he has built this firm into the fourth most active underwriter of municipal bonds in the State of California.“The municipal bond sales desk sells his new issue bonds to investors and trades daily with second and third-tier investors, their specialty market. The firm also serves as remarketing agent for a $650 million portfolio of variable rate bonds. Their origination practice reflects the spirit of Yale’s School of Management because it often helps their governmental and non-profit clients to achieve social goals with private sector capital. An extremely important part of the success of his firm has been a tradition of rewarding all employees and officers with the benefits of the firm’s business growth. That includes his commitment to disperse ownership to important officers and employees.”
