She is survived by her sister, Lena Fults of Nebraska; son Bob Neece and wife Kathy; daughter Lela Blair and husband Jim; and grandchildren, Andy Neece, Monica Neece, and Eileen Luna and husband Craig. Frances Gutierrez, 91, of Santa Paula, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at her residence after a brief illness. Frances was born December 3, 1911 in Brighton, Colorado. She was a Ventura County resident for 59 years. She was a homemaker.Frances is survived by her brother, Pedro Montez of Denver, Colorado; sons, James Arellano of Santa Paula and Phil Arellano of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Peggy Ketchpaw of Santa Paula; granddaughters, Francine Cobos (husband Robert) of Santa Paula, Debra Acevedo (husband Arnold) of Santa Paula, Lorayne Brady (husband Rudy) of Santa Paula, and Phillina Chinnici (husband Bart) of Santa Paula; grandsons, Robert Frutos of Honokaa, Hawaii, Philbert Arellano (wife Dorothy) of Santa Paula, Phillip Arellano (wife Christine) of Oxnard, and Monte Arellano (wife Theresa) of Crescent City, California; 16 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren, with two on the way; and her beloved dog Fiona. She belonged to the Eastern Star in Nebraska for over 50 years. She attended the University of Nebraska. She attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
