Marvin Louis LaBrot
1928-2004Marvin LaBrot was born in Santa Paula September 10, 1928. He died in Santa Paula October 31, 2004.Marvin attended local grade schools and graduated with the class of 1946 from SPUHS. He attended Ventura J.C. His working life was at Glen City Service on Main Street, which he inherited from his father Nicholas LaBrot. He was a member of the Santa Paula Masonic Lodge #291 F & A.M. for 54 years. His love of sports was for auto racing and flying gliders. He was happiest when soaring with the Eagles.Marv is survived by his best friend “Duke,” his good friend of over 64 years, Beverly Harding. He is also survived by his son “Chuck” and his son Robbie of Ventura, his daughter Karen and her daughter Janae of Ojai and Karen’s son Josh of San Francisco, his daughter Kim, his son-in-law Bob Dryden, and their children Nikki, Candace and Kyle of Santa Paula. Marv is also survived by his deceased son’s children Lynsey and Matt of Murphy’s, California and his ex-wife Janet, the mother of his children. A musician, he loved to play the guitar. She also worked at Tresierras Supermarket as a cashier for four years.
