Sarah De Leon
Sarah De Leon, 58, passed away at her residence in Santa Paula on December 19, 2004.Sarah was born in Imperial, California on August 11, 1946. She was a resident of Ventura County for 28 years, residing in Fillmore before moving to the Santa Paula area. She was a graduate of Imperial High School Class of 1964.Along with her husband Ralph, Sarah owned S.A.M.C.O., a citrus-harvesting company in Santa Paula, where she played an active role in its success. She was past president of an actively involved in National Charity League, a non-profit national organization of mothers and daughters, where she also met some of her closest friends. She enjoyed traveling abroad, gardening her beloved roses, and spending time with family and friends.She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Angulo, and sister, Mary Ruth Angulo.Sarah is survived by her husband Ralph; daughter Nicole; sons, Joe and wife Lorena Acuña, and Mark and wife Tamar Acuña; granddaughter Mariah Acuña; stepsons Rafael and wife Pat and their children, Albert and wife Rose and their children, Richard and wife Victoria and their children, and Michael and daughter; stepdaughter Araceli and son; mother Ercilia Angulo; brothers, Guadalupe, John, Enos, Pedro Jr., Fred, and Terry; and sisters, Linda and Dolores.Rosary was scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 21 at St. Sebastian Church, 235 N. 9th St., Santa Paula. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22 at St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula. After the service, Sarah will be laid to rest at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd., Ventura.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, P.O. Box 7128, Santa Monica, CA 90406-7128 for the Sarah De Leon Memorial Fund.
