Dr. John Edison Elected Chief of Staff at CMH

Dr. John Edison, an ear nose and throat specialist, has been elected chief of staff at Community Memorial Hospital. Dr. Edison, who has practiced in Ventura for 27 years, will head the 250-member active medical staff at the hospital in 2005. Dr. Edison will serve as the medical staff’s representative to the board of trustees, will preside over medical staff meetings and will oversee all standing medical committees at the hospital.Also elected were Dr. Stanley Frochtzwajg as chief of staff-elect; Dr. John Hill as past chief of staff, Dr. Doug Woodburn as secretary-treasurer and Dr. William Speitel as member at large. .Dr. Frochtzwajg, a family practice physician in Ventura for 25 years, and Dr. Hill, an orthopedic surgeon in Ventura for 33 years, also will serve on the board of trustees. Dr. Woodburn has been a general surgeon in Ventura for 17 years. Dr. Speitel has been a Ventura family practice physician for 20 years.``The medical staff has made excellent choices for leadership in 2005,’’ said Gary Wilde, President and CEO of the hospital. ``I’m looking forward to working with Dr. Edison and the other doctors.’’
