She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Allen, Nathan and Wayne Thorp; husband Donald (Whitey) Stoughtenger; grandson Charles Burgett; granddaughter-in-law Sheryl Burgett; and great-granddaughter Kimberly.She is survived by her daughters, Reba (Wayne) Hickstein of Nevada and Betty (Darrell) Burgett of Santa Paula where she lived; grandchildren Danny (Donna) Burgett, Ronnie (Robbie) Tieman, Tommy (Jeanie) Tieman, Sheryl Allen, Wayne (Susie) Hickstein, Brian (Amber) Hickstein, and Laura Hickstein; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.She enjoyed life to the fullest and celebrated her 88th birthday on a cruise with her daughter Reba and granddaughter Sheryl.She was truly loved by everyone who knew her, she never met a stranger. Louis L. “Bud” Stockton
Bud Stockton passed away at his home in San Diego March 9, 2000.He was born in Ringling, Oklahoma on April 10, 1935 to Marshall Lloyd and Beulah Underwood Stockton. He attended grade school at Mupu school and graduated from Santa Paula High School with the Class of 1953. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was married to Gail Harding in August of 1957.Bud worked for Texaco Petroleum Company on South Mountain in Santa Paula, and on the offshore rigs at Gaviota, and on the Sahara Desert in Tripoli, Libya, and for 21 years in the jungles at Lago Agrio, Ecuador. Bud and Gail lived in Quito, Ecuador for these 21 years while their three children were growing up. On his retirement from Texaco, they came home to the USA and made their home in San Diego to be near their children.Bud leaves his wife Gail; and their children: Samuel, his wife Marina, and their daughters Jennifer and Lindsey of Roundtop, Texas; Melissa and husband Randy Langefeld and their daughter Ashley of San Diego; and Jim and wife Bonnie and their children Mitchell and Madison of La Mesa. Additionally, he leaves his sisters, Lois (husband, William) Payne of Camarillo, and Sonja (husband, David) Pascual of San Jose. He was predeceased by his father Marshall in 1991, his brother Ronald in 1993, and his mother Beulah Stockton on December 24, 1999.A memorial service was held in Lakeside, California March 12, and inurnment will be at the Rosecrans Military Cemetery in San Diego on Friday, March 17.Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society in his memory, or to the charity of your choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Lakeside-Santee in Lakeside.Isabella Emily GonzalesIsabella Emily Gonzales, age 6 months, of Stevenson Ranch, California passed away March 7, 2000. She was born August 24, 1999 in Woodland Hills, and had been a county resident for six months.She is survived by her parents, Mark and Letty Gonzales of Stevenson Ranch; grandparents, Jesus Cordero and Margarita Cordero, both of Santa Paula, and Margaret Duke of Santa Monica; aunts, Julie Gonzales of San Francisco, Diane Gonzales of Northridge, Celina Lindley, Martha Banuelos and Pauline Cordero, all of Santa Paula, Epigmenia De La Torre of Mexico, and Cecilia Aguilar and Celia Morales, both of Santa Paula; and uncles, Ismael Cordero of Santa Paula and Manuel Cordero of Mexico. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Gonzales.Services were held at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula, Msgr. Arnold Biedermann officiating. He was born December 26, 1930 in Ingalls, Kansas, and was a county resident for seven years, coming from Modesto.Mr. Loftin was in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952. He worked as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Company, and was the secretary for the Modesto Lions Club.He is survived by his wife, Alta A. Loftin of Santa Paula; sons, Dale Loftin of Las Vegas, Richard Sargent of Phoenix, and Jeff Sargent of Phoenix; granddaughters, Melissa Sargent of Colorado and Kristen Sargent of Phoenix; and brother Glenn Loftin of Turlock.Graveside services were held March 11 at Santa Paula Cemetery, the Rev.
