The purpose of the Santa Clara Valley Wellness Foundation is not unlike that of many hospital based foundations. As changes in government regulations cause reimbursement of health care costs to shrink, it becomes increasingly important to find alternative resources that will allow us to provide the high caliber of care the community has come to expect. The Foundation is committed to supporting and maintaining a comprehensive health care system dedicated to the needs of patients, and their families, in the Santa Clara River Valley. For sponsorship or ticket information for the December gala, call the Santa Clara Valley Wellness Foundation at 525-0633.

In the summer of 2005, in anticipation of the reopening of the hospital under the auspices of the Ventura County Medical Center, the Foundation Board changed the name of the organization and expanded its mission to include a new commitment to supporting a broader range of health care initiatives for the growing cities of Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru.
