The Cards started out the first quarter with three TDs in just five plays.  Santa Paula kicked off to the Eagles to start the contest and just two minutes later recovered a fumble on the Oak Park 43-yard line.  A short time later Noah Magana ran the ball 45 yards for a touchdown.  Santa Paula scored again with three and a half minutes left in the quarter when Oscar Cancino ran 66 yards for a TD.  With just five seconds left Magana took the ball on an 80-yard run to score again.  The Cards finished the first quarter with a 19-0 lead.

The second quarter was pretty much a stalemate until the Cardinals scored when quarterback Jesus Castrejon took the ball in from 3-yards out.

Santa Paula began the third quarter with the ball on their 20-yard line.  Magana moved the ball 28 yards and then another 35 to the Oak Park 29-yard line.  After giving the ball back to the Eagles on a 4th down punt, Oak Park managed their only TD of the game.

The fourth quarter was all Santa Paula.  Justin Gaeta intercepted an Oak Park pass on the Santa Paula 13-yard line.  A few minutes later Magana carried the ball to the Oak Park 12 and then to the 3-yard line.  With a little over a minute left Castejon scored the final TD of the game.

The JV plays at Carpinteria High School Friday at 4:30 p.m.
