The City Council could decide whether or not to allow a controversial development at the corner of Peck and Foothill roads at Monday’s meeting after a closed session where they evaluate City Manager Jaime Fontes.

The session will start at 6 p.m. in the Administrative Conference Room where the council will open the meeting and then go into closed session to discuss Fontes’ performance.

At 6:30 p.m. the regular meeting will be continued in City Hall Council Chambers; Time Warner Cable Channel 10 will broadcast the meeting live and replay according to schedule. The city will also live stream the session and archive the meeting for viewing on demand.

Presentations will include thanking Dee Cota for years of dedication to keeping the community clean; declaring the month of April as Donate Life Month; an update by Eric Sternal of Interface on 2-1-1 referral resources and the unveiling of the Red Cross Smoke Detector Giveaway program.

There will be two public hearings including issues related to the crosstown water piping project and council consideration to approve the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Anderson/Hagaman project.

The proposed 79-home hillside development has brought objections and concerns from area residents regarding traffic, water and environmental impacts as well as density.

The proposed project on the 32-plus acre parcel was approved by voters in 2003 and has been the subject of numerous meetings including a February 16 workshop. For more information on the development visit www.santapaulatimes.com and search under Hagaman.

The council will also designate a voting delegate for the 2016 Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) General Assembly and consider a first amendment to the agreement with SPARC for animal sheltering services.
